Wood decking comes in all different sizes and types. The most common and cheapest decking is tight knot cedar. For a few dollars more we recommend clear cedar decking. This is a knot-free board that looks beautiful without the worry of knotholes popping out. Other high-end wood decking products include Mahogany and IPE (see Hardwood). We’ve done them all and are anxious to tell you the pros and cons of each.
